This, Friday, December 13, 2024, marks a pivotal moment as ORT Israel proudly takes part in the first congress of the newly established Israeli-Korea International Education Forum, titled:
“Educational Synergies: Korean-Israeli Dialogue for Next Generation Learning.”
As part of this pioneering event, Dr. Sharon Greenberg, Deputy Director General & Head of Administration for R&D and Training of ORT Israel, will deliver a keynote lecture titled:
“Technology Meets Values: Preparing Students for a Meaningful Future.”
This forum represents a significant step forward in fostering educational partnerships between two nations that, despite their shared commitment to innovation and academic excellence, have had limited collaboration in education until now.
Why This Forum Matters
The concept of “Educational Synergies” reflects the shared vision of Korea and Israel — two nations that, while culturally distinct, have followed similar paths of economic development driven by a commitment to education, technology, and innovation. This dialogue seeks to bridge knowledge gaps and spark collaborative opportunities that empower the next generation of learners and leaders.
The Korean-Israeli Dialogue for Next Generation Learning serves as a platform for educators, policymakers, and thought leaders to explore how educational practices in each country can inspire and strengthen the other. Through open dialogue, the forum will support the development of shared learning resources and cross-cultural educational tools.
Dr. Sharon Greenberg’s Lecture
As part of this dialogue, Dr. Greenberg will present ORT’s perspective on the role of education in shaping future leaders through his lecture, “Technology Meets Values: Preparing Students for a Meaningful Future.” Dr. Greenberg’s lecture will spotlight ORT Israel’s approach to combining Sci-Tech education with value-driven learning. This approach focuses on nurturing future leaders who will drive Israel forward on the global stage and contribute to the social, economic, and sustainable development of the country.
Dr. Greenberg will emphasize how education, when rooted in both technology and values, can prepare students to become changemakers with a strong ethical foundation, ready to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving world. He will also explain how the educational approaches of both countries can complement each other.
