Over the years, ORT Israel has established its position as one of the prominent partners in nanotechnology educational projects in the EU:
NAN O STYLE Project for high schools dealing with nano-technological products in everyday life, launched by the University of Salzburg’s Molecular Biology Department.
NanoEIS a three-year EU-funded project with the University of Salzburg. The project aim to research the European nanotechnology industries”s needs and how they are implemented by secondary schools, vocational schools and academic institutions. During the project, reports and recommendations on promoting nanotechnology teaching in schools and academy were published.
Nanopinion project brought together 17 partners from 11 countries; aim to help the public to form an opinion on future research and use of nanotechnology and to promote discourse on the subject. This was done by providing relevant information to different audiences and creating activities of different kinds to encourage informed discussion of nanotechnology. Thirty countries took part in discussions, online (online) and in various events.
Nanochannels an EU-funded project led by ORT Israel. The purpose of the project was to encourage students, industry, NGOs, politicians, researchers and the general public to participate in a dialogue about the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and risks of nanotechnologies. In order to develop an informed discussion, the project operates on a variety of channels; Written press, radio, social media on a variety of social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter, and at live events in schools.
NANOYOU is a project on raising awareness of nano-technology among EU countries, led by the ORT Israel Network. As part of the project, ORT established the nanoyou site, which operates in 13 different languages. The project was successful, followed by a sequel to the nano channels.
