Kyrgyz Government Officials visit ORT to explore cutting-edge tech education and training.

Yesterday, on June 25, 2023, ORT’s administration for R&D and contents had a distinguished privilege to host a delegation of respectable government officials from Kyrgyzstan. The purpose of the delegation was to gain insights into the factors that have propelled the State of Israel into its status as a flourishing nation of innovation and startups. Throughout their visit, the delegation meticulously examined the pivotal role played by ORT Israel, the country’s largest education network, in cultivating Israel’s technological and economic resilience. ORT is instrumental in providing cutting-edge technological education and training to thousands of graduates annually, facilitating their integration into prestigious technological positions within the military, Israeli high-tech industry, and the local labor market. The graduates of ORT make remarkable contributions to the Israeli economy.

Israel, with its unique ecosystem, exhibits a remarkable synergy among education, military, and industrial sectors. ORT, in particular, assumes the crucial responsibility of guiding students from their early days on classroom benches to the forefront of leading technological companies. This seamless collaboration between education, military, and industry epitomizes the harmonious interplay of these domains within the Israeli context.

On the other hand, the government of Kyrgyzstan has been steadfast in its pursuit of technological transformation and excellence. In recent years, the country has embarked on strategic and operational evaluations to chart a course for the next decade. The primary objective of this process is to elevate the level of professional training for the country’s labor force. Kyrgyzstan aspires to create an environment that enables its graduates to enter the international labor market, which necessitates a strong emphasis on professional development and high-quality vocational education. The delegation’s visit to ORT Israel was driven by their desire to explore the technologically-driven educational model employed in professional training.

The delegation comprised esteemed senior government officials, including Mr. Bazarbaev Kudaibergen, Minister of Labor, Social Support, Migration & Immigration; Mr. Avazbeck ullu Rassul, Deputy Minister of Education and Science; Mrs. Mambetova Jipar, director of the directorate responsible for migration and immigration, labor, and social support; Mrs. Mamirova Gurnura, director of the directorate responsible for vocational education at the Ministry of Education and Science; Mr. Dmitri Shkaf, the Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan in Israel; and Mr. Alexander Yagodin, a valued business partner. The delegation’s visit to the Moshinsky Center, the hub of administrative, research, and development activities within the ORT network, was expertly led by Ms. Alona Kletsel (Allesh), head of international business development and marketing; Merav Elkan, head of special programs and professional development department; and Dr. Moshe Telsnik, head of the content and pedagogy team.

Mrs. Nava Rimberg, the marketing director at Ort Colleges, and Mr. Shahar Avisid, the director of professional content at the administration of the colleges, showcased the exemplary capacity of Ort Colleges in developing bespoke professional courses tailored to the specific needs of employers. For instance, Intel, having received a grant to establish a factory in southern Israel, is benefiting from the comprehensive workforce training provided by the Ort network, thereby ensuring a highly skilled workforce for Intel’s operations.

Both the Israeli and Kyrgyzstani groups took turns presenting their respective educational activities, highlighting noteworthy trends, and outlining their agendas for the upcoming years in the realm of professional training. This momentous visit ignited a dynamic exchange of ideas and knowledge between the two nations, invigorating their understanding of the strategic approaches and innovative practices employed in the realm of technological education. As this vital dialogue continues to unfold, we eagerly anticipate sharing further updates on the progress made during this transformative encounter.
