The ORT Research and Development (R&D) and Training Administration orchestrated a tour for ambassadors from various Asian countries at ORT Lebovitch High School in Netanya. This initiative, spearheaded by the Department of International Business Development & Marketing of ORT in collaboration with the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce, aimed to showcase the innovative and advanced learning programs of ORT education network. ORT Yad Lebovitch stands out as one of the leading schools in the ORT education network and in Israel, known for its integration of technology and entrepreneurial programs in education.
The visit provided the ambassadors with a firsthand experience of how these technologies are implemented in teaching and learning at ORT. As part of the visit, the ambassadors engaged in a discussion on the challenges facing education in the 21st century.
Principal Vared Debrat extended a warm welcome to the ambassadors, expressing pride and excitement in hosting them. She highlighted the school’s commitment to addressing challenges in education and technology, as well as its efforts to connect future generations with the diplomatic world. The school is well known for its youth diplomacy program.
Sharon Greenberg, Deputy Director General and head of the ORT R&D and Training Administration, reiterated ORT network’s commitment to sharing its expertise globally. He emphasized collaboration as the key to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education worldwide, preparing future generations for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. Greenberg also presented the ambassadors with innovative educational programs developed by the ORT R&D and Training Administration, focusing on science, technology, entrepreneurship and various life skills, in line with ORT’s vision for future schools.

Liron Urman, General Manager of the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the significance of education in Israel as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship. She noted the excitement among Asian ambassadors regarding the visit to one of Israel’s outstanding high schools.
During the visit, ambassadors toured the school, interacted with students, and learned about their educational experiences. They were introduced to various fields of research and development (R&D) and innovation at the school, including high-tech projects in software, information, and data engineering. The guests also explored a virtual museum showcasing the school’s alumni achievements and witnessed an award-winning robot developed by students for a global robotics competition. Additionally, students from the International Diplomacy program guided the ambassadors through a photographic exhibition and presented the international communication project, which was established in response to events on October 7th. Zohar Jacobson, the English program coordinator at the school, shared innovative teaching methods in English classes utilizing artificial intelligence.
A poignant moment of the visit was the ambassadors’ visit to the new garden complex established at the school in memory of the fallen soldiers of the Iron Swords war and victims of the October 7th events.
Alona Kletsel (Allesh), Head of Business Development and International Marketing at ORT, reflected on the visit, noting the enthusiasm for future collaborations and the establishment of educational bridges between Asian countries and Israel. She highlighted the visit’s impact on inspiring students to pursue innovation and excellence. Allesh expressed her pleasure in hearing the students speak confidently and eloquently during the meeting, which was conducted entirely in English. She thanked all involved in organizing the successful visit and extended special thanks to the Asia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, congratulating them on their 40th anniversary.
As a gesture of appreciation, ORT gifted the ambassadors a new book by Dan Senor and Saul Singer titled “The Genius of Israel.” This symbolic gift holds particular relevance in light of the current times in Israel.
