A delegation of 50 teachers and principals from the Azerbaijani schools arrived to Israel during May for 3 weeks training. ORT R&D and Contents Administration tailored the training especially for the needs of the Azerbaijani ministry of science and education.
This is the 5th year of the collaboration between the ORT Israel and the ministry of education and science in Azerbaijan. ORT trained hundreds of teachers and principals during the years. Following this fruitful partnership, ministry of education of the Azerbaijan launched a reform in the Azerbaijani education system in order to transition the schools into future ready and Sci-Tech focused. The goal of this reform is preparing the pupils for the labor market of the future and providing teachers and principals in the Azerbaijani schools tools and knowledge, which are necessary for this transformation.
During the 3 weeks visit of the delegation, the visitors were exposed to novel technologies and teaching methodologies among which: VR, AI, ChatGPT and more. In the process of training they visited ORT schools and colleges, among which: Ort Tivon, Ort Danziger in Kiryat Shmona, Ort Yad Leibovich in Netanya and Ort Kiryat Bialik. In addition, they visited the Peres Peace Center, the Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem and the Technode Medical Museum in Hadera.
After the training in Israel, another week of training planned in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
ORT Israel is cooperating with many countries and considered a pioneer and a leader in the Sci-Tech focused education, which successfully implemented in 252 schools of the ORT network in Israel.
